Tuesday evening I sat down to make one little hexie and ended up basting all 6 that I had cut.
I’m a little concerned about where the “following” frog has his hand but, hey . . who I am to question a frog’s behavior? The guy in front has a smile on his face so I’m just going to pretend I don’t notice that hand!
A bunch more are cut out. Again . . it will be a small quilt or a bunch of pot holders! 🙂

What a great idea for potholders. I collect frogs so really like your hexies.

Too funny! I also collect frogs, so I think they’re cute. Plus, I agree…they have smiles on their faces… 🙂

Reminds me of the stack and whack quilt I had to do for a client….it was done with an animal print….a lot of zebra butts….it was a great quilt, but all I saw was zebra butts

Those hexie’s are just too cute! I’m thinking they are perfect for a small quilt for that darling granddaughter, even if it’s for a doll for her.
Sherrill says
A little like frogs in a blender (going round and round)!! It is cute, tho!

Judy…just when we think we know everything about you!

That is too funny. Only us adults would notice that I bet. Addie won’t care where his hand is so make it a little quilt for her. I had a quilt, my daughter and my darling granddaughter had one. That quilt went everywhere with us till it wore out. Then our grandmothers made us another one. I still have the last one my grandmother made me before she passed away. I was 17 at that time …..
I think is it going to be cute. I had the same material I think for the quilt I did for children at Downy Fabric Softner thing I did many years ago. Liked it then and like it now……
CUTE!!!!CUTE!!!!! and cutter!!!!!!!

That’s how hexies are – they suck you in and before you know it, you have to do some every day!
Shari says
That is so funny!

You really should issue a spew alert before you share something like that. Thanks for the belly laugh!
Lee says
Oh no! I think I’d have to place those frogs differently. Frog hands and frog smiles – oh dear, lol.
Dar in MO says
That WAS funny. I am just glad I didn’t have any liquid in my mouth when I read your remark. Those are really cute little frogs regardless of where their hands are.
Angie says
You ate too funny, and those frogs are adorable! I can’t wait to see how the quilt turns out. Hexies are my favorite shape to work with!
Rebecca in SoCal says
Oh, dear! What happens between consenting frogs…
They wouldn’t have been as cute any other way, tho
I was picturing them all reaching into the middle, and now “Do the Hokey-Pokey” is going through my head. 😛
Angie in SoCal says
So cute, Judy and I wouldn’t have even noticed if you hadn’t brought it to my attention -LOL. I invite you to link to Hexie Weekend so others can see what those froggies are up to. I like the fabric you’ve picked for the others.
