Yesterday I split off the sleeves and finished the acccent stripes at the top. This will go much quicker now.

Thanks for posting your photos on Carabe, Judy. I have knit some # of stitch together parts for sweaters but really needed some push to start at the top and then knit down, divide off for sleeves. I got a lot out of your pics of knitting started at the neck and moving down; this is very helpful.

I’m doing one, too. I’m about halfway through the second stripe. Almost ready to split of the sleeves. I’ve never done sleeves like this and I really like it!

I am new to knitting and trying to knit the carabe sweater. I just finished page 4 row 6 and am confused about how to follow the chart for rows 7- 20 with the shaping

I’m not sure what you’re asking. Have you finished Row 6 and aren’t sure what to do with Row 7? I’m going to answer what I think you’re asking and if that’s not right, please ask again. I want to help.
You will continue working in the carabe stripe pattern and on every 4th row, increase at the front edge as directed, and increasing the sleeves every right side row, as directed.

Yes! I’ve started mine. I’m not very far into it yet but so far it’s going well. I’ll post my update on tomorrow’s On the Needles. Thanks for encouraging us. Now if I could just learn to speed knit the way you do.
