While in MO, I took hundreds of pictures of Addie. I love them all but this one makes me smile.
She was sitting on the sofa with her toes laced together. I thought about those little feet and the places they will go. She will walk through cool, fresh cut, green grass. She will walk across freshly plowed fields. She will some day walk across hot sands on a beautiful beach. At some point in her life, she may run track or play sports and wear athletic shoes. Some day she may like to dress up and wear high heels. Even now, and probably into her adult years, she will wear lots of boots. Both her mom and dad live in boots.
It makes me smile to think of her future and where those little feet will take her. At the same time, it makes me very sad because it may be months before I get to tickle those little feet again!

Lovely thoughts! When my daughter was a baby, I was mesmerized by her hands; her fingers would move for (what seemed to me) no purpose, just for the sensation of movement.
Now she is 18 and uses her hands in beautiful ways….she is a writer and a pianist!

So sweet. Judie, do you have access to FaceTime on an ipad? Or Skype on your computer? I appreciate what I am able to do communication-wise with my 3 year old granddaughter, Eden, as compared to what my parents had with my sons. We lived 700 miles away and could only visit at Christmas and for a week in the summer. They traveled to see us a couple of other times each year. Aside from that it was telephone only. We are very blessed to have the technology we have today. But I must admit that I wish they lived next door.

Sweet feet! I think about you lots when I’m playing with my two great grands who live next door. Gabe will be 3 in February and Will 2 in March. They think a day cannot go by without being at Mammy’s and Pappy’s and I feel the same way. I was in Dallas for three weeks in September visiting my granddaughter and sure missed them. I know how blessed I am to have them next door. Wish Addie was next door to you!
