Nicole wanted a quilt for her grandpa and our plan was that she and I would make a Carpenter Star quilt for him when I was there next time. She chose the colors and I have the fabric all packed up to bring but my trip there keeps getting delayed so Nicole asked me if I had a quilt I could send him. I sent here a few pictures and she chose the Carpenter Star quilt I had made a while back but never bound.
I got busy and got the binding done!
This morning it will make a quick trip through the washer and then the dryer and then it will go into the mail and hopefully Nicole’s grandpa will have it very soon.

Is that one of your patterns, from Mary at Making quilts from stash (or something like that) or elsewhere? That’s a quilt that I’ve intended to make for a long time, just never got around to it. It’s beautiful!

You are good peeps, Judy. You gave a beautiful quilt to your DIL to give to her Grandpa…. am I right? You are a better person than I am… I’ll give a charity quilt to a perfect stranger, but not the situation you did. What is that?

I made one for the feathers class you had and when it was finished my daughter in law “loved” it so it now lives in MD. Isn’t it nice when our daughters in love appreciate our work?

Beautiful quilt, I have been wanting to make the Carpenters Star for quite a while, it’s on my list, but I dont know what to add to the quilt after I do the star. I like what you did but I dont know how to so that. Wishing I did. You did a beautiful job.

That turned out so beautiful! He’s going to love it. I remember when you walked us through making that quilt and then the feather lessons – it was awesome. I enjoyed making one and it is now hanging in my sewing room. Thanks again, Judy!
