I was thinking last night that it might be fun to do some “knit alongs” of sorts. I think from now on, I’ll announce ahead of time what I’m planning to start and if anyone wants to do with me, we can knit along together!
Anyone want to do a Carabe Kid with me?
It uses DK weight yarn. I’m making the size 4 for Addie and I’m using Mrs. Crosby’s Carpet Bag in Hollywood Cerise and Golden Butter so it will match Nicole’s Carabe. The size 4 takes 530 yards of the main color and 135 yards of contrasting colored yarn. The pattern goes from size 12 months to 10 years and I found it easy to make to I believe the pattern is a good investment . . something I’ll probably use more than once.
Anyway . . if anyone wants to grab some DK weight yarn and buy the pattern, I plan to start mine towards the end of next week and I’d love to have someone knitting it along with me.

That is cute as it can be, but I don’t have a child those sizes to make one for at this point. Can’t wait to see Addie’s done!
I have a sweater on the needles, but am also doing a mystery knit along by Rachel Roden of Unraveled Designs that is on Ravelry. It’s the “Outlander” MKAL, inspired by the “Outlander” series of books by Diana Gabaldon, and the new TV series based on them on Starz. Just got my 2nd clue this morning, before Episode 2 airs tonight. HAPPY!!!

Excellent plan – can’t do carabe but will be prepared for your future projects!
Sounds like fun and a way to get things done!

I do want to knit Carabe (adult version) someday but I don’t have the yarn for it right now, and Heathered is next on my list. When you decide on the next knit-along, please post a couple weeks before you’re going to start. Then if I don’t have the yarn for it, I can order some. ;0)

I’m knitting along with you on the On the Grass sweater. Cast it on last night.

Sounds like fun, first I have to finish camp loopy. Hope to get it done this weekend if the creek don’t rise. Lol

I’d love to do a knit along but not the child’s sweater. Let me know what’s next when you decide and I’ll make sure I have the yarn and pattern. Sounds like fun.
