My time in the sewing room today was spent photographing and logging in my Wollmeise yarn. It’s out of control and maybe just knowing how much I have will help me to pass up those Wollmeise updates!

The minute the yarn box was on the floor, Boots was in it checking things out. Several times I took him out, threw his ball across the room and entertained him a while but he always ended up back in the box.

I figured if I put the lid on the box, that would keep him out and I could just open the lid and toss the yarn in after it was photographed but no . . he made himself comfortable on top of the lid. So much for opening the lid and tossing in the yarn. So, I got a second box and whichever box he was not on, I put the yarn in that box and in the end, I was able to combine in all into one box . . barely!

In the end, I ended up with several pages of yarn.

Now I will begin uploading all the pictures to my stash on Ravelry. And, I hope I’ve convinced myself that no more Wollmeise can come to my stash.

I don’t own any Wollmeise, yet. I wonder what I’m missing. 🙂 one reason is I never catch an update until the next day…a day late and a dollar short. Oh well I will look at your stash on Ravelry and try to figure out if I need to work harder at catching updates.

Ok so I have no self control…I left your blog after leaving the previous comment about not owning any Wollmeise…went to The Loopy Ewe and am now waiting on five skeins to arrive. LOL! I drank the Kool-aid! 🙂

Such a helpful kitty! I laughed as soon as I saw the second picture, even before reading your “work-around.”
The big question is: does reason trump desire? Look what fun you and Boots had cataloging your stash…will you really think of the amount you have next time they release a batch?
