Two more yards of fabric got cut up to use to tie up the tomatoes. Who’d ever have thought that’s what I’d be doing with my stash but at least I have it to use and am not having to buy fabric or the tomato plants.

Oh I thought I was the only one that did use fabric to tie up –this year my cucs!! The selvages I never use so I save them up to use as ties–makes for a very colorful plot! Hugs, Julierose

LOL! I use the selvages from fabric for tying tomtoes, though I have far fewer plants! I have 5-7 plants along the side of my garage in northern Indiana.

LOL – it’s great to repurpose fabric and fibers. My husband has old carpet all over the yard to cut down on weeds.

I’ll probably die with fabric stashed all over the house … but I’d never have the ??guts?? to cut it up for plant ties! LOL! OOOH, I just had a mental flash back … using old nylon stockings for plant ties!
