Well . . I stayed in the sewing room for . . ready? 3-1/2 hours! Then I went to the house, cooked dinner and went back to the sewing room for about an hour!
The first thing I did in there was to clean up the design wall. I took down the food in jars blocks, and spread out the Tell it to the Stars blocks. The chain blocks were the blocks to be made in July and I had only made one so I had to make five more. Got that done.
The test block(s) for August were made but you’re going to have til August 1 to see that picture.

So glad you’re going to be sewing again! I’ve enjoy your stories about knitting but I’m not a knitter so my craft was feeling left out. (lol) Was boots glad you stayed with him so long?
Melody says
Congratulations on a productive afternoon. I’m hoping it will rub off on me. LOL.
Karen says
Glad to hear your back in the sewing room. I’ve been trying to do the same thing – spend an hour in the sewing room each day. It’s no problem on the days I actually get in there – unfortunately I’m still not getting there every day.

Wow! I bet that felt great! Sometimes we have to give ourselves a big ole shove and then something magical happens once we sit down and sew. Look at that wall!

I know how you love to sew. And to knit. I really know you as a quilter and book author. W will never forget meeting you at Road to CA with Vicky…
I used to knit, but any longer does not work living here in the desert as I have given it up. If it is cold here (in the 50-60 temps) I just wear a lightweight Columbia jacket and do my thing. Same thing in Tahoe during the summer.
I piece when i am in Tahoe..got a lot done but may need more “fabric out of print”. Will worry about that in a few days.
Love all your posts, kitty wise, the knitting wise, cooking wise and chicken wise. Just do not return posts as we pay for a modem to have internet connection.
Glad things are better with the kidneys. Hope I have covered everything.
Love you girl….
Marilyn

I’m the same way, somedays there is just too much going on to get in there! But when I do I end up spending more time there. accomplishing a lot.

So your one hour turned into 4 1/2! Super! I’m so busy quilting for others, I’m lucky to get even a half hour to work on my own projects. Not complaining, business it good, but I do miss my sewing.

Good for you, Judy! And good for us to be inspired also!
Nancy says
Congrats!!!!!!!!!!!!! You did it. Looking forward to tomorrow when the August block is revealed.
Linda says
Yeah, Judy! Your recommendation to me to set a timer and go make myself quilt was so important to me when I first got my long arm and it was scaring the living bejeebers out of me. I’m glad you got back into it. I really enjoy piecing. It’s therapy for my hands and my soul.

Glad to see you’re feeling much better and keeping Boots company.
