Lady Kina has been finished except for the button. It gets one button at the top. Today I finally remembered to stop by the sewing shop but forgot to bring the sweater with me. I grabbed these buttons, and I think either of them would be ok. Which button should I use?
Here’s what I’m thinking:
- All my jewelry is gold . . though I rarely wear any jewelry at all. A gold button wasn’t pretty with the turquoise so I got a silver one, though I’m not 100% sold on it.
- If I do use the silver button, since the button with the little tiles came on a card of 2, I could use them to make earrings!
What do you think? Silver or ceramic tile button? Thank you!

Think the silver one would be best
Deb P says
The silver one, according to “fashion” experts it is Tres’ Chic to mix metals! lol as if I would know!
Roberta says
Silver hands down is the best. Classic!!!
Hugs!!!!

Silver…….
MarilynS says
The silver looks fantastic. Use it and make earring with the other 2 buttons!
Tina in NJ says
I like the ceramic button slightly better. I think it goes better with the heather end yarn. I would ask if you want the sweater to be more casual or more formal, though the difference isn’t great.
Ramona says
I like the silver button better, too. It stands out more on the sweater. Plus the ceramic buttons would make beautiful earrings!

I LOVE the ceramic tile button.

I like the ceramic tile button…

Hi Judy,
Just to let you know– I don’t know what happened but sinceabout a week or so ago, , I can open your blog from bloglovin or whatever it is, but I cannot read more than the first snip. It only opens to a blank page. Then, I allowed the advertisement that used to always appear to bug me again, and then sometimes I could open it– but not always. Any ideas? I have no problem typing the name in and then reading your blog– but you post ofton, and I don’t think that I would always get everything>

I love the silver one!!
danielle says
Altho I like both buttons – my eyes keep being drawn back to the silver one. I don’t worry about jewelry and buttons so I don’t think it matters that you wear mainly gold jewelry – do you care what color teeth are on your zippers?
I love the idea of the other button becoming earrings!
Lee says
The silver is very traditional, but the ceramic really pops and looks lively, youthful.
Sue K says
ceramic tile – the colors are great. The silver is too fancy for my tastes.
Debbie Rhodes says
I vote for the ceramic tile one… it reflects the blue…
Barbara says
They both work with the sweater, so I think in this case it comes down to personal taste/personal style and not so much about what looks best with the sweater.
I’m not one who likes traditional so I would go with the ceramic, but a more traditional person would probably chose the silver and that would also work.
JoanS says
I really like the ceramic one!!!!
Laura says
The silver one!
Charlene says
I think the silver one is too much for Lady Kina. Definately, the ceramic one.
Eve in GA says
Both buttons are beautiful. But I like the ceramic “tiles” one best with the sweater.
Judy says
I vote for the ceramic tile button. It really works well with the color of the sweater.
DL Dahlin says
I love the ceramic button, but I think the silver one might be better suited. Earrings out of the ceramic ones would be cool!! I just love your jar quilt, it would make an awesome I spy Quilt for a certain little girl.

Hi Judy
I like the sliver botton
I think it gives the sweater a vintage look.
Vickie VanDyken says
wellllll I just want to know which one wom??? LOL. I like the mosaic one but they would make beautiful earrings soooooo Maybe the silver one. I think they both work. Just depends on if you want new earrings or not :). So which did you choose????
Marla says
Silver!
joanna says
Go with the ceramic! It’s different. The silver works just fine, but is more everyday. The ceramic is a cut above.

Connie says
I vote silver!
Vickie in nh says
I vote for the tiles buttons – like others have said,- it picks up the colors of the sweater.
Gail S says
Judy, I think you should use the ceramic one and go and buy another card and make matching earrings for your sweater.
🙂
Rebecca in SoCal says
I like the silver, with its fleurs-de-lis (Louisiana connection). I think it blends better than the ceramic tile one, although it is also very pretty.
patti says
tile button is my choice, shows up so much better against the yarn. if you want earrings to match, get another card!
Eileen says
I vote silver even tho it looks gold to me.
Dar in MO says
I’m sure by now you have made a decision (just saw your post), and I first thought the tile one, but after reading your reasoning about making earrings, I like that idea even better, so I’d probably go with the silver one. Can’t remember if the sweater is classic or more modern in style.
wanda ll says
Silver one for sweater and make those other earrings. They both will really look good with your hair color and all too.
Joan says
SILVER– and make earings from the other two. Wow will you be fancy when you wear that!!
Dana Pellerin says
ceramic tile button.
Adrienne says
I think that you made up your own mind… the silver button and make the two others into co-ordinating earrings. I’d second your choice!
Lynne in Hawaii says
Put me down as a vote for the ceramic because it picks up the color of the yarn. Making earrings out of the tile buttons is a nice thought but would you actually make them? and then would you wear them? (since you seldom wear jewelry.)
Dottie N. says
I’m WAY behind on e-mails – just catching up a little on blog reading. I really like the ceramic tile button – I like the silver too, but the ceramic with multiple colors is very appealing (to me).
Denise ~ justquiltin says
I just love buttons – I have my eye on some that I keep thinking I need to make a sweater to go with those buttons – now that’s backwards! LOL Hmmm both would look great. What do you plan to wear under your Lady Kina? A plain colored top – then I’d go the tile buttons – just love them. But if I were planning to wear a print top, I might go the other button instead. Or you could just put one in each hand and tell Vince to pick a hand! 🙂
Judy S says
Don’t know whether my vote matters at this point, but I’d go for the silver. Your earring idea for the others is PERFECT, and they’d go with almost anything!
