The new bantams have spent several days in their new coop/run. When we first got them, they lived in a Rubbermaid tub, then in a bigger black watering tub, then we moved them to the new big coop but kept them inside for a while. When we moved them the other day to the new little coop, that was the first time they had been outside.
We were out in the garden working yesterday evening and heard them start squawking and making all kinds of racket. Of course, I figured a snake was in the coop and we both went running over there.
Do you see the bunny? The chickens were not sure what he was. We never thought about it because there are so many bunnies in the yard but they had never seen one. The rabbit just sat there and they all had a staring match for probably 10 or 15 minutes . . no one was moving . . just checking each other out.
The other chickens were probably confused because they’re so used to seeing bunnies, they couldn’t figure out why the bantams were making such a fuss.

Oh, Judy, how funny, you should make a video. How are the turkeys?
Rhonda says
I’m so glad you had your camera to get a shot of that. The bunny looks so unconcerned and the chicks look offended that the bunny is invading their area…..hehehehehehe
