This book arrived today and while I haven’t tried any of the recipes, I think I’m going to love it. It’s Whole Grain Breads by machine or hand by Beatrice Ojakangus.
There are lots of recipes for using various grains and for each recipe, there’s a “Sampler Loaf”, “Regular Loaf” and “Large Loaf” version. I like that . . I don’t always want to make a huge loaf, especially when trying a new recipe, especially when using a grain I’ve never used before, especially since there are just two of us to eat whatever I bake, especially since we both still need to be working on losing weight! Whew . . maybe I shouldn’t be baking bread at all! 🙂
There are quite a few recipes in the book that I want to try.
The link to the book is provided in the first paragraph above. I will not copy her recipes so if you think you might want to make some of the recipes, once I make them and rave about them, you can order your copy (there were only 8 left last night but I’m sure they’ll get more if they run out).
I’m going to try one of the recipes today . . making the sampler size. I will report back . . with pictures, of course!

Curious to see what you think-although I already ordered it. I love the sample size idea. I enjoy making bread but we don’t eat much so it would go stale. Smaller ;loaves would be good for us.

Like Diana, I like the idea of sample size loaves. There’s only me, so even if I like it, sample is probably plenty!

I just put this book on hold at the library.

Just sent in my order for this. I like the idea of the small sample loaf to see if we actually like the recipe. Thanks for sharing the information

I see that there is a chapter on Non-wheat breads. Does it sound interesting enough to purchase it without being able to see it?

I haven’t even looked at that chapter yet but will do so next week and report back here.
