One thing I do look forward to when Vince retires will be leisurely breakfasts. I love weekends and holidays when we sit and talk and then I fix breakfast instead of rush, rush, rush and get it on the table so he can rush, rush, rush to eat and get out the door.
I love these little biscuit cutters. A while back and I bought a set for Nicole and myself, promptly lost my set and had to order another set, then found my set and gave the new ones to a friend. There are four cutters, with handles, and they stack when not in use. I made a half batch of biscuits and used the next to smallest cutter, along with my small skillet for baking them.
We’re cutting back on portion sizes but still having good food. Bacon from the pig we bought from the youth fair, homemade biscuits, eggs from our chickens and sorghum from a friend’s family’s sorghum mill.

Yum!,Did you use the sorghum for the biscuits? 100% or did you use some wheat flour and some sorghum? Would you share your biscuit recipe? Thanks.

Good luck on the nice relaxing breakfasts when Vince retires. They are fee and far between here. Galen is normally out the door by 7 to play golf or look for birds and dragonflies 3-4 days a week. Every other Tues. To pick Dad up and take him some where. We do get breakfast in that day and hopefully on Thursday. Sun. Ge is out the door to get Dad shortly after 8 to take him to church. Not many keisurely breakfasts around here

I changed my plates out several years ago and use the luncheon size plates by Corelle. That way your smaller portions don’t look so lonely!
