The solar panels are installed and the system is running. The panels are producing even more power than we had planned and to say we are happy is an understatement. Vince just said “This is one of the best investments we’ve made!” and I agree.
This is as much as you’ll see of our solar panels.
The installers fired it all up to test it. You can’t see it but the meter is spinning backwards!
Things are working exactly as we expected. It’s nice to finally have all this behind us.
Susan says
Oh, yay! I’m so excited for you – both that it’s in and that it’s working even better than expected! Such good news. One more thing off the checklist of independence.
Debbie says
That is really cool, Judy. It must be fun to watch the meter go backwards!!!
Sherry V. says
You hadn’t said much about the solar panels in a couple of days so I was afraid to ask! LOL
Glad everything seems to be working the way it should.
CindyM says
How often does Vince have to climb up there and clean/polish those panels?
regina says
Oh yay!!! I would love to install them – but here in Western NY our sunlight days are more limited – and we haven’t quite worked out the cost differentials yet. Still on the wish list, though.
swooze says
Good for you! Mission acconplished.
Katie Z. says
Woohoo! Way to make a challenging decision and see it succeed.
Judy H says
Congratulations!
I lost track of which plan you were able to get. Is the electric company buying it back?
Mary Jo says
How great! One more thing on your list complete!
Donna Williams says
Congratulations! I have seen a lot of things, but I do not think I have ever seen a meter go backwards. Happy for you!
Sue in Scottsdale, AZ says
Congratulations! I can’t believe you were able to get everything up and running so quickly. When we installed a small solar system about 3 years ago, it took well over 2 months – we seemed to always be waiting for something such as the city coming out to inspect the electrical work, the city coming out to inspect the installation of the panels, the city coming out for something. We were always waiting for the city! We love our system but it is small – my husband wanted it to power our electric vehicles – we have several- and it does that plus a little more but not much.
Dottie N. says
So glad y’all have the solar going and it’s great knowing it’s producing so well!!
AmyM says
nice ! Always wanted solar but was not to be. So you will have them for all of us that cannot!
Sherrill says
Oooo, that is so cool!! I really need to get my rear in gear and do more checking. That would be absolutely awesome. I’m sure I’ll be picking your brain some more!
Liz in Calgary says
just wait until you plug in your iron… I found my bill goes sky high will that is being used for any length of time, but I don’t have solar power… maybe i should…
Bev in Colo says
Congrats on the new solar system. Think of all the yarn and fabric you can now splurge on!
