You all know my friend, Denise! She’s a wonderful designer, quilter, knitter and a good friend . . even if she often talks me into buying yarn I don’t need! Her Loopy Legend yarn is available here. I thought I had seen a picture Denise submitted for her yarn but didn’t remember what it looked like and you know me . . the one never wanting to buy yarn I don’t need . . I didn’t want to order Mandarin Duck if it wasn’t Denise’s yarn, even though I love the colors! So I wrote her yesterday afternoon and said “Is this yours?”
Last night we had to go to Home Depot . . pretty much the same thing we’ve had to do the past five days/nights! We had other things to do yesterday afternoon that caused everything to be off schedule so Vince said . . come and go with me and we’ll grab a bite to eat while we’re out. We ended up stuck in the restaurant for quite a while because a storm blew in. I decided to be one of those people I can’t stand to see . . the ones on their cell phones in restaurants . . and got out my cell phone. How long can you sit in a restaurant after your food is gone and watch it rain? I had an email from Denise and she confirmed that it was her yarn. I already had a couple of other skeins of yarn in my cart. One of them .. I wanted 3 skeins because I had a plan for it but by then, there were only 2 skeins left so I knew I had to get that order placed quickly. I got Denise’s Mandarin Duck and two other yarns.
Somehow, I managed to do it all on the phone, with Vince sitting right there .. not even noticing I was placing an order with The Loopy Ewe. Since that order got shipped today, Tuesday . . if it ends up arriving here on Saturday or if it comes on Friday and he takes off at noon . . which come to think of it . . I’ll bet he does . . I am totally giving up on buying yarn. I will know I am doomed to get caught every time I try to sneak a skein into this house.

I was thinking of you when I placed an order at eQuilter on a Friday and realized I was leaving town the following Tuesday! However, I was doing my DH a great big favor, so he didn’t say anything about the size of the box.
I’m not so confident about when he sees the bill, though. 😉

Judy, I saw it on Denise’s blog and now I’ve bitten the bullet. You two are such an influence on me — a good one I hope. I bought one of yours and one of hers. And a set of circular interchangeable needles. Can’t wait until my Box of Fun gets here.

Sure when that box arrives and Vince is home instead of working rather than saying what a good friend I am you’ll be telling Vince “that dang Denise made me order this.” 🙂 Mine should arrive tomorrow tho there should also be a Box of Fun arriving today, too. I just knew as soon as I placed the first order for a summer sweater that the Loopy Legends would come in.

I saw Denise’s blog and she mentioned your note… her duck photo was so fabulous I went to the Loopy Ewe website — just to LOOK — and ended up with some yarn in my cart. Dang! I was trying to work down the stash, but it was so gorgeous and I will knit it up – eventually. LOL! Talk about bad influences… just kidding! 🙂 I’m hooked on the Ewe now too.
