The name of the quilt is “Sparkler” and it will definitely sparkle with all these colors. As was pointed out to me last night, this probably wasn’t the best fabric choice . . by some standards, but I love it!
And, before anyone tells me to start moving this block or that block . . this is probably less than one-third of the blocks I will need and I just slapped these up there, kinda color coordinated but these are truly just slapped up there. As of now, there are 36 blocks made. The next two strips I cut will give me more red and I’m anxious to see how that will play out.
I really like it!

Actually I think it’s pretty good fabric choice. But then I’ve only done one of these quilts. I do have fabric for more but been finding other patterns to try first. 😉
Hugs!!!!

I’m not sure I agree this wasn’t the best choice….I think it’s fabulous because you really see the strong “lines” of color that show the twirl of the blocks. I love it too 🙂

I think the fabric choice is great. There is alot of variety which gives you alot of different block designs. . . . and it all seems to happen just like “magic”.
How old did you say this fabric was???? I might need to get some yardage so that I can play with it too! LOL

It’s not so much “good” or “bad” fabric choices here, as what kind of effect are you looking for. If you don’t have a preconceived idea of what you want and just wait to see what happens, it’s all good! This one has LOTS going on – great fun!

I agree with the people who say it’s stunning! I can see it with more red being even more dynamic. You could quiet down the edges with a solid border and the center would really pop. Good to see the sewing again, and great job!!
