Capper’s Farmer magazine has become one of my very favorite magazines. If you like the “homemade” or homestead lifestyle, I think you will love this magazine.
Each issue I’ve seen has been packed with info that we found quite valuable. The current issue has quite a few really good looking slow cooker recipes, a section of venison recipes, recipes from vintage cookbooks, a section on no knead bread and lots of other good articles.
When you’re in a bookstore or Tractor Supply, grab one, thumb through it and see if there’s not something in there that makes you want to take this magazine home and subscribe!

I remember that as Cappers Weekly a long time ago. My grandparents had a subscription, and I used to like reading the jokes section. I didn’t know know it had been revived as a magazine. Interesting!

I pick this up at B&N. Love this magazine.

My Mom always used to get Capper’s Weekly, and I used to read it even though we lived nowhere near a farm. Maybe that is why I would love to have goats and chickens! I think my grandparents, who actually were farmers, used to have subscriptions, too. I haven’t read it since they changed the format and name.

I’ve been buying this magazine and really enjoy it. In the last year, I’ve found myself buying more chicken/farming magazines and almost no decorating magazines — what a switch for me!
