Finishing one sweater before starting another one . . that’s the way I plan to knit my sweaters. I learned a good lesson with quilting — too many projects started and not enough finished. So far, I’ve done pretty good. I’m in the middle of making Blue Sand Cardigan but I knew the Tressage Knit Along was beginning March 1. Tressage uses fingering weight yarn and I had ordered three different yarns to make it, and kept changing my mind. I had pretty much decided to skip the Knit Along .. til my buddy, Denise, showed her progress. I even thought about ordering the same yarn she’s using because Nicole would love that color, but I stopped myself . . mainly because Denise must have ordered almost all of it and there were only 2 skeins left.
I’m using String Theory Caper Sock, which I love. It’s a tad thicker than some sock yarns, and it has cashmere. What’s not to love about that? The swatch was done, soaked, blocked and the gauge is perfect.
What could possibly be so bad about working on two sweaters at once? I will finish them both! I will not start accumulating UFO knitting projects! 🙂

LOL – Yes – I did leave just those two hanks of yarn behind. 🙂 Hopefully they’ll restock it soon for you. I am like a friend’s dog who forgets everything ever taught about obedience when it sees a squirrel – I’m so easily distracted.. Not only do I have Tressage in the works, but I cast on Sunday a new sleeveless sweater to go under a spring suit jacket. Then last night as I was looking at some pretty spring yarn that just “Might” have come in my Loopy Fabric challenge package,, I decided it must be knit into a little summer top for my sister’s birthday so I started on that last night. (oh yeah – her birthday is this month).

That’s a pretty pattern. Just added it to my favs on Ravelry! (You know my reputation as a non-sweater-finisher is always in tact, but it doesn’t prevent me from stockpiling yarn and patterns for them….)

I wanted so badly to do the Tressage KAL, but I have three sweaters on the needles right now, and I MUST finish at least one of them before starting something else. Really. Must. Not. Start. Another. Sweater.(Really?)
