Last week, we had a night when our low was supposed to be 23. I was worried about our peach trees but it didn’t get down as low as it was supposed to be and our peach trees survived that freeze. We have three peach trees and they’re at different stages of budding/blooming.
The one above is just about to bloom.
The one shown above has lots of blooms. I hope that means lots of peaches.
Aren’t the blooms so pretty?
The bad news is . . Sunday night it got down to 16 degrees and the blossoms and buds all froze. They’re sad little trees right now. No peaches this year. I’ll hope for better luck next year.

I have a feeling that a lot of people with fruit trees (especially pit crops), including orchardists are going to be losing their crops this year :-(.

Oh, darn! Not much you can do about this winter, but I hope next year is not so cold! Or all the cold comes at once and when it warms, then it stays that way.

Bummer! I was so hoping you’d be lucky and they wouldn’t freeze.
