I finally have a good yarn report and I forgot to post the darned report. The good news is . . I spent the entire day sewing and then when Vince got home, we worked in the yard . . then a neighbor came by to visit for a while, then we ate dinner . . then . . well, that’s now! 🙂
Nothing arrived this week and 6 skeins were used. For the Sleepy Hollow, by the time I started over two times and each time, some amount of yarn that had been cut was thrown out, and with the sweater and the swatch, I used about 1,300 yards.
On the sidebar where I have my total in yardage, there’s hope! This is the end of the second month of the year. I’ve used 5,800 yards and if I keep using yarn at that rate through the end of the year, I will have used 34,800 yards (6 x 5,800) and as of now, I’ve added 30,054 yards. If I don’t add any more yarn, I could end the year positive. But, there’s Camp Loopy and yarn will have to be added and I doubt I can knit any more than I’ve been knitting unless we hire a housekeeper, a cook, a gardener, a chicken mama and a wife!
Used this Week: 6 skeins
Used since 1/1/2014: 22 skeins
Added this week: 0 skeins
Added since 1/1/21014: 70 skeins
Net Used since 1/1/2014: 48 skeins (red means I’ve added more than I’ve used)

Great job this week! Don’t forget Black Friday. You’ve got such great momentum right now. Even with all the outdoor stuff picking up, I think you’ll still get a ton of knitting done.

Last Sunday I attended “Stitches West”. I tried to show restraint, but ended up with two sweaters, a shawl, two pair of socks and a “bunnies worth” of yarn. The bunnies are your influence!

Well you could always use a knitting machine to use up yarn faster. But some people don’t think that is a correct way to knit. Seeing I use a sewing machine to sew, I love using my knitting machines to knit.

And don’t forget that you would also need to hire a quilter to use up some of your fabric stash!
