It’s really hard to get a picture of Boots. He hears the camera when I turn it on, even when I turn the sound off, and he loves the strap. Even though I am using a camera without a strap in there, he is determined there’s a strap and he is going to find it!
You might think he’s looking me right in the eyes but he isn’t . . he’s searching for that camera cord!
Cats are so funny! I put all the pieces to my current project in a container with a lid that snaps shut . . just to keep Boots out of it. The minute I opened the container to work on the project, look who decided to curl up in the container, on top of the quilt pieces!
He’s such a sweet cat and I just love having him around . . to help! 🙂

A cute little boy has turned into quite a handsome lad, I’m so glad that he’s such an enjoyment to you especially after your bad cat experience. When I was young and at home and making my own clothes, I would spread the fabric out on the carpet (very noisy, right?) and out of nowhere – even from a different floor – would come my sweet fuzzball because, after all, fabric is for a kitty to lay on.

I’m so glad that you have had the good fortune to become a kitty mom. I love dogs too, but kitties are so much fun to have around the sewing room or near you when you need a pick me up. We lost one of our last year, but still have an older lady. She’s not as active as Boots (which I miss), but she tells me when she wants to eat, or her litter box has been used. I swear if we had gotten her as a baby, I think we could have trained her to flush the toilet!!

They will lay/sit on anything!! Mr. Fang will sit on a dishrag dropped on the floor, he’ll find a dryer sheet and sit on the, even grabbing it between his paws and rubbing it all over his head & face. He used to do that with my DGD’s dirty socks!! LOL What a goofball!

He’s really grown a lot!

He is really a nice looking cat! His coat is so shiny! And I am a sucker for black and white animals! My first “real” dog was black and white. (Border collie/lab) I have had a thing for contrast ever since!

Now here is an idea. Put out 2 boxes one for you and one for him. he won’t know which one you are working out of. then. Do one for him first so he gets in. Or he may be really smart and change when you get the second one out. Kitties are so darn smart. I’m glad you were finally able to love kitties they are so different from dogs and will really steal your hearts.

Boots has turned out to be a handsome cat. My cats crack me up too. My sewing room is off limits to them (yarn, thread, pins) so when I am in there I will hear my little one meow and see his little paws under the door saying let me in. it is so funny. he wont stop until the door is open. then he gets mad when I come out and shut it behind me. one day the two of them I decided to let in. after roaming for a bit they each settled down on a project I had out and fell asleep I sewed most of the day that way. funny lovable creatures.

I have a cousin to Boots named Seis, he is a polydactyl cat, and so so smart. Loved the instructions for this quilt.
Thank you,

We used to have a Himalayan cat named FuzzB that loved to lay in puzzle boxes. I was putting together a puzzle once that was a picture of a crystal apple on a red background. FuzzB carried off one of those pieces from the very center of the puzzle in his long fur and it was never to be seen again.
