We were eating and I told Vince “This is restaurant quality food!” and he said “Better!”. He’s so well trained. 🙂
Grilled chicken (and I was only able to eat about 1/4 of that chicken breast), sweet potatoes, fried apples and grilled pineapple.
We bought a pineapple a week or so ago and I kept checking to see if it was ripe but since I don’t really know what I’m checking for . . I just guessed tonight that it was ready. It was so delicious .. we decided to grill some thick slices. Yum!
Good, healthy dinner .. a I’m patting myself on the back! 🙂

Looks awesome ! Too check for ripeness in pineapples I was always taught to pull out one of the leaves – if it comes out easily – it’s ripe

I learned in Hawaii at the Dole plant to find the innermost leaf that you can easily grab and pull. If it comes out easily its ready. And Dole says all their pineapples ship ready to eat. I always prefer them firm and always have no fear of using them right home from the store. Don’t like overripe fruit of any kind.
Lynne in Hawaii says
Yep…if the inner leaf pulls out easily, the pineapple is ready. You are providing wonderful meals and it shows. Looking good.
