Very rarely am I sick but on the few days that I feel bad, it makes me so thankful for such good health. It’s only on those occasions that I remember how lucky I am to have so much energy and feel so good all the time.
It’s the same with the blog. It’s only on those occasions when the blog is giving me trouble that I realize how much I love blogging and how blessed I am that I have so many faithful, supportive and chatty readers.
About a month ago, I noticed the blog was slow and seemed to be getting slower. I don’t know if you, as readers, were experiencing the slowness but I surely was. About two weeks ago, a blog post that was taking 10 minutes start to finish was taking half an hour to complete. Photos were so slow to load and every now and then, they wouldn’t load at all. I kept thinking it would fix itself . . an update here or there on WordPress or a plug in, cleaned out some old “worthless chatter” posts but it steadily got worse and last week I contacted Sara, my blog lady. It happened that when she logged in, things seemed to be working fine, which happened rarely. I figured it was something on my end and tried clearing the cache, rebooting the routers (we use two internet services and the blog was misbehaving on both of them so I figured it wasn’t the internet connection). Sara was going to monitor the blog on her end too and see what she could figure out.
Then, I got this message when trying to write a blog post.
By the time I got that message, Sara had also experienced some issues. It seems as though there were several issues working together to cause problems. Between Sara and Aaron at RFE (blog host), I do believe they have it all worked out and the blog is a happy place for me again.
I can’t say enough good things about Sara at Launch Creative Studio. You can see some of her work on her website and she’s a dream to work with. Anyone needing a blog or website makeover, she’s great! I’ve said it before but without Sara, I would probably have thrown in the towel and given up blogging.

Yay! Glad it is working properly again.

I’d noticed the slowness but figured I’d just have to live with it. I enjoy your blog enough to wait that extra couple of seconds for it to load. There’s days we could all use a “Sara”.

Sara works magic. I love her and I have to smile when I think about it because I pulled her name out of a hat when I needed a blog re-do. I was simply looking online for someone to re-do the blog and I don’t even know how I found her but I’m so glad I did.

SO glad you are back. We missed you and wondered what had happened, thought you might be watching the chicks. One of my blogs did not go through so I assumed it was my end and indeed it may have been. Missed you.

So glad she has resolved your problems because I would miss your blog. I had not noticed any problems with your blog from my end, but as a fellow blogger I know how frustrating it can be when the technology doesn’t cooperate with us.

We’re so glad you’re back. We were beginning to worry that something had happened to you or the chickens or something else. We never thought about the Blog. Thank goodness you (Sara too!!) were able to get your blog going again. Now life can get back to normal. Ron.

It’s funny that you posted this morning I realized I hadn’t seen any posts from you lately….I checked your blog and saw several posts I’d missed. I didn’t have time to research the problem, though.
But I received this notification, so I think it is fixed now! ,

Hurrah, you are back. For a couple of days, I didn’t get anything at all and for the last couple I was getting the grouping of the posts. I had been going to your blog to get my “Judy” fix. I hadn’t seen anyone say anything so thought I had done something.
WELCOME BACK! And yes I did mean to yell. lol
Terri says
well that’s just not nice to call your blog a “bad blog” lol. I figured you were extra busy with the baby chicks and that’s why you weren’t posting much. You have so much going on I don’t know how you do it!
Glad your back up and running at full steam.
Kim says
Woo Hoo, Glad your all fixed up.

That is soooo funny! “Bad Blog!” Nothing like passing the buck, huh? It certainly couldn’t be anything else, so it MUST be the “Bad Blog”!!! 🙂

I’m not sure I noticed it or not.I haven’t worked with Sara, but Aaron is great! He has been very patient with me as I migrated to RfE from WordPress.com.

Glad you got the issues resolved, but good gravy… from the title of the post I was afraid you were gonna be naming (blog) names! LOL! 🙂

I’m getting your emails again. Yea Fixed is nice.
Susan says
Yay! And I’m getting individual e-mail post notices, not summaries of the day’s blog posts. Double yay!
