The six Silky Bantams have been growing like a weed and had outgrown their plastic tub.
Saturday was moving day! Vince had somewhat cleaned out the coop but had just closed it up after we lost the chickens so it had to be cleaned a bit more and fresh shavings put inside before we could move the babies back to the bantam coop.
Vince brought them over in their tub.
He put them in the new coop and they were scared to death! It didn’t take them long to figure out that they had so much more room and could run around and flap their little wings.
The little black one looks so funny with the yellow/white ones. I’m sure in no time at all, they’ll grow up and produce enough baby chicks to fill this coop!

Judy, did I miss the post, or have you stopped doing the Getting It Done challenge? I will miss it if it’s gone!

They look so tiny! Good luck with this batch.
Since they’re silky bantams, are they going to have those feathery feet? So cute!
Susan says
That seemed to happen awfully fast! And is there new fencing, or stronger fencing now, too? I was trying to remember what you said Vince was going to do about that.

Judy, I must have missed something while I was on vacation or something. What happened to your chickens?
Karin Vail says
I missed it too – I remember seeing a post that said something happened to them, but she wasn’t ready to talk about it yet, then I haven’t seen mention of them other than the chicks. I am thinking these were hatched from the lost chickens eggs?
kelly says
same here- what happened to the original chickens???
Joanne Caglione says
Oh good luck my friend! I am so happy for you….
