Who’d have thunk it? 🙂 More snow could be headed our way. We left our snow shovels in Missouri. This photo was taken January 4, 2013 and everyone said it was rare.
They’re predicting snow for our area Thursday night, though it looks like most of it is going to be south and west of us. Some reports are saying 2 – 4″. I’ll be happy with just a dusting . . heck, I’d be happy with some rain . . just no ice!
By the way, the baby chicks are not being shipped til next week so we don’t have to worry about them in the freezing temps this week.
It’s still warm out there. I just came in from a ride on the RTV and I had on a short sleeved T-shirt and was comfortable. It’s a beautiful mostly sunny day today but those temps change fast around here.

Judy,
I’m so glad the little chickies will be shipped next week! Enjoy the snow, you can have all of Michigan’s.

Glad your baby chicks won’t be shipped during the cold snap. But dang, why are you getting all the snow in Texas? Here in North Carolina, we are feeling very left out as the snow keeps passing us by. Still freezing my tushie off, though, because I forget to grab a jacket when I dash out of the house. I’m not really used to the cold anymore, either!

I live in Raleigh, NC and we got snow last night. Just enough to cover the ground really good, but let the roads be dry and clear by mid-morning.

Okay, that is just weird! Here in Canada my snowdrops have bloomed and my daffodils are sprouting – and it was 50F (10C) the last few days (of course, I live in Lotus Land – otherwise known as the West (wet) Coast)

I’m so glad it’s staying on your side of the state and not here in Dallas. I don’t miss the snow at all. Enjoy the beauty!
Diana in RR, TX says
well we need the moisture. if our Canadian friends would keep their cold weather and not send it so far south!!!!!!! when we get snow it rarely lasts. so I am not going to complain-won’t do any good anyway! glad they aren’t shipping your chicks yet.

I’ve been watching those reports..cold for a couple of days is kinda OK (sorta, HA) but NO SNOW! Yes, they’re saying something for us..south and west. Please let it be so.

Weather temp change–OH YEAH. Sunday it was 67 degrees and Monday it was -7 with a stiff wind. Oh we do know about temp changes this year. NO snow to speak of yet this year, just a couple dustings. SO if you don’t like the weather in Nebraska–wait 5 minutes it WILL change.

Judy, just to make you feel better about getting some snow in TX, this year we have had over 21 inches of snow in our area so far this year and last year for the whole year we only got about 8″. Be glad you are in sunny TX.

Here in So. Colo. (just off the N.Mex. border) it is 7 degrees this morning with 2″ snow, and it is moving your way! Came in around midnight and should be outta here around noon – we expect temps back into the 50s-60s tomorrow and Sat. Agreed – good thing the chick shipment was deferred!

I know, be careful what you wish for, however here in CA we NEED snow, water, whatever you can send us! 🙂
I hope that everyone in the rest of the country stays warm and safe.
