It’s pretty obvious when I’m procrastinating. That’s when I shop online. But, you should be thanking me because I’ve found some amazing patterns today. I’m at the point in my current project where I have to think and as soon as I finish this blog post, I’m getting back to knitting.
These are the patterns I added to my Ravelry library, or purchased elsewhere online today.
This is Balas Ruby Raglan which is a Vera Sanon design and is in the current issue of KnitScene. I will probably use Miss Babs Yummy 3 Ply Sport yarn for this but I don’t have the yarn and I haven’t ordered any and probably will not til much later in the year. I will make this sweater longer but I love the sleeves.
I’ve been looking at Cora for a while. Now that I’m losing weight, I think I’ll be happy wearing this sweater. In my stash is a periwinkle colored DK yarn that might work if I have enough of it.
The photo on the front of Alpehgluhen doesn’t do it justice but if you look at some of the projects made by others, it’s gorgeous. I have a tweedy yarn in my stash that might work for this. I’ll probably make a swatch with some cables and see what I think about the yarn in the stash.
Until a conversation with Nicole last week, I had no idea who Lala Loopsy was but I think Addie would love this little hat. I’ll have to buy yarn for that . . next time I’m at Hobby Lobby or JoAnn’s.
Go Buffalo! will be so cute for Addie in purple and gold . . LSU colors to make her daddy happy. I think I have Cascade 220 Superwash that will work for this project.
Minimalist Cardigan is one I’ve looked at for a while. I don’t know that I have yarn for it but it’s another one that I’ll wait a while before ordering. I like that it has no buttons and the sleeves are 3/4 length. It looks like something I’d get a lot of wear from if I chose the right yarn and color.
Do you like any of those projects? OK . . back to knitting so I can finish this project and get started on something else. I have lots of yarn to get knitted up! 🙂

Maybe you could spin some yarn that will work perfectly for the sweaters you don’t have yarn in your stash

Love the Alpenglubensweater and, of course, the lalaloopsy is adorable. Keep knitting. Did chicks arrive?

Of course! My favorites are the Minimalist Cardigan and Alpengluben sweater – both gorgeous! I like Cora too, but until I lose weight -most of which is around my middle! – that’s not an option. And Addie is going to be the best dressed little girl in the world. That little hat is too adorable!

stop it! STOP IT! I mean really. First you get me interested in knitting socks, like I needed another interest. Then, of course I needed a stash because one can never have quite enough in the resource closet. I don’t have any place to hide these skeins with all of the nooks and crannies stuffed with fabric and now you are tempting me to extend into sweaters? You are a very bad influence.

See? That’s what I told her! She’s killing me!

i like the raglan sweater the best. it looks so versitile and ageless. i imagine it would be much easier to find enough yarn already in your stash to knit this one because it uses two colors.
That hat is just toooo cute! Awwwwwww.

cora is very exciting, pretty and doable Judy

I have Cora in my favorites but I was planning on continuing the cables straight down rather than making the triangle at the bottom. Addie will love the Lala Loopsy hat. Now get back to knitting so you can bust more stash!

Great patterns. I have minimalist pattern in my library. I keep thinking I will get back to knitting soon!

I love the Minimalist Cardigan! I actually bought that pattern a year or so ago (even though I don’t yet know how to knit!). I plan to make it this year. I probably found that pattern by following some link of yours 😉 I have a couple of similar Eileen Fisher sweaters that I wear and really like. Can’t wait to see yours!

Have you ever looked at the February Lady Sweater. I have gone back to it several times and would love anyone else’s opinion.

I really like the minimalist sweater.
My husband told me the other day I could not read your blog until I got into the sewing room and got some fabric used up. LOL
He asked just how many more interest you were going to introduce to me? I just laughed.
I say, keep going this has been fun! I love learning new things. I may try it once and not like it but I like trying.

Cora was my first sweater I ever knit. Very easy and flattering (pre-soak). I will be ripping mine though because it grew in length too much and I’m trying to lose weight. I will reknit it though.

I love the Alpehgluhen sweater, that’s absolutely gorgeous. I’m going to have to stop coming over here if you keep this up! 🙂

I have had the Minimalist Cardigan in the works for some time, Judy. I love the look of the sweater, but it’s either a popcorn or moss stitch (can’t think of which off-hand) and, since I’m a thrower, I wear myself out trying to make this. ;D

Ring! Ring! hello, Judy, this is your sewing machine calling-have you forgotten about me??? Love your quilt patterns-am trying to stay away from the knitting as I too have a good sized stash I need to use up-but mostly worsted yarn-guess it’s mitten and hat time with a scarf or two thrown in to decrease the inventory! 🙂
