The tile guy is here this morning. I really like this guy. He’s the same one who did our granite and he’s installing our tile . . putting it up today and coming back tomorrow for the grouting. That tells you how busy they are that he’s working on Saturday and Sunday.
I hope that within a few hours I’ll have updated photos with tile at least on parts of these walls.
There’s not an outside electric plug anywhere on this house except on the front porch .. there are two! It’s a good thing it isn’t terribly cold or terribly hot and the grasshoppers aren’t around because this door is going to be open so the tile guy’s cord can be plugged in.
I’m not glad Miss Hattie is no longer around but if we still had her, you know where she would be all day . . inside the house. Any time a door was open, she thought it was open for her to come in. Dang . . it’s been a month today since the terrible chicken massacre and I still expect to see her come running up to greet me when I go outside.

Can’t wait to see the tile. I love that you have a built in area for books.

The tile looks great.. Did I miss the post about the chicken massacre? What happened?
Marla says
Judy, what happened to your chickens? My niece lost hers to a hawk and I am just sick for her as her little boy has been crying her eyes out for them.

I miss the Miss Hattie stories…
