We discovered this salad a while ago as part of a holiday dinner. It’s been my favorite salad ever since. We use fresh pecans since they are grown in our area, and apples can take the place of pears. I have also had it with feta instead of blue cheese, also strawberries, blueberries in the summer. The shipped pears are such a treat. Y’all are lucky recipients. We share and treasure the fruit box gifts, they are so good. Enjoy!

I LOVE those RAK’s. I was recipient of one around Christmas..in line at Chick Fil A and the guy in front of me paid for my lunch! So I passed it along to the person behind me. They can be SO infectious!!

This is funny, I got a box of Harry and David pears from my sister earlier this week. (No, she didn’t send you yours.) They are now ripe and so good. I hadn’t noticed the recipe card. I have made a similar salad before. It’s good with Gorgonzola cheese also.
