This may be too much information but I wanted to emphasize how much better we’re feeling with our new way of eating. Again .. I am not a medical professional . . I’m not giving advice but simply sharing our results.
This morning I went to the doctor and my blood pressure was 102/71. When I went to the doctor on December 20, less than one month ago, it was 140/78. When I was at the doctor on November 1, the blood pressure was 134/80. While neither of those two previous readings caused any great concern, I’m much happier with today’s number.
As far as the pounds, it’s been a rough week. I haven’t gained but haven’t lost. For two days now we’ve been out at lunch and though I didn’t go crazy with what I ate, it would have been better eating at home. Tomorrow, hopefully our normal stay at home and eat meals at home routine resumes.

Sounds as though you are doing wonderfully! Keep up the good work. Sweets were cut out of this household after Christmas and just that has made a big difference!

Oh you know you’re gonna have days/times like that but keep on keepin’ on..you guys are doing great? How much has Vince lost (those darned men almost ALWAYS lose so much faster..bums!)?

It has always been my experience that if I have a big weight loss one week, like you did, that I might not lose any for the next one to two weeks, even if I’ve been perfectly good about what I ate, and then I’ll have a nice loss the next week. I think your body needs to “catch up” with itself. The trick is to stay motivated while you’re in that staying put period!!

Congratulations on the blood pressure numbers and the diet!!

Congratulations! Lower BP, that is the best news. So happy your new way of eating is working for you.

Beautiful work, Judy!! Your new BP reading is perfect, big drop from the previous. Love it! I can’t wait to have my next labs done, too. I’ve lost 11.3 lb so far. Yesterday was my bday, though, so we went for a sushi (mostly sashimi, actually) PIG-OUT. Got on the scale this morning – mistake! LOL.

That’s great on the blood pressure! Food is our best medicine. If we eat junk, we feel terrible. As they say, you are what you eat!
