Miss Winkle was started Saturday night . . late . . way too late and apparently all my comprehension skills had gone to sleep. I can’t tell you how many times I started, ripped, started, ripped . . at least six times.
I don’t even know if I have the loops twisted correctly but three of them going the same direction and that’s how I’m making it. It will be a lot more fun to knit once I get farther along and I’m not spending so much of my time making loops. It’s pretty enough that I will persevere but on Saturday night, if I had been a quitter, I would have given up.

The first time I read that last sentence, I thought it said “…if I had been a QUILTER, I would have given up!” Oh, where are those darned glasses… 🙂
Knitting mystifies me. It looks like you are conjuring something up out of thin air, using two magic wands. Your yarn is lovely — what exactly is “Miss Winkle” going to be when finished? Is it a scarf, a sweater, or some other garment? Or is it something else entirely?

I really like the edging on Miss Winkle, and the size of the overall scarf. It’s moments like this I wish I knew how to knit! This is going to be so pretty! Do you gift all your knitting projects, or wear them your self? Nicole is one lucky daughter in law—-

That’s a fun pattern. The edging does look challenging! Nice colors.

I have that on my list to do after I get done an afghan for my Dad’s 80th birthday, binding on a quilt for my sister and 6 pillowcases. Hmmm maybe I best be working on projects and not on the computer :o)

I’m still plugging away on my Hitchhiker. I do like Martina Behm’s patterns.

I’m still periodically plugging away on the scarf I started on maybe 2 months ago – STILL having problems and I KNOW that once I get past this hard part it is clear sailing from then on! Just that there IS this hard part! (which isn’t really that hard, just that I don’t understand what the heck this lady is talking about – and no one locally here does either!)

Hang in there, girl. I just finished loop 30 and I promise it gets easier. I had to watch her videos about 10 times!
