Sometimes it’s really hard to get patterns written.
If I hold him, which he prefers, I can’t use both hands and do the pictures.
If I put him down, he’s between me and the computer screen and it’s real hard to type details and include pictures if I can’t see what I’m typing. Look at his little paw up in the air . . he can almost grab that moving thing that keeps going across the screen.
Hey! I can almost see the whole screen but he’s ready to jump up if something interesting moves across the screen.
Can you believe how big he’s getting? That scrawny little kitten that showed up here in July has just about turned into a full size cat.

What a sweet little helper! He must be doing some editing, or checking your spelling. Maybe if he had glasses he wouldn’t need to be so close to the screen. He sure seems like a great companion.

These comments made me laugh out loud. I agree totally!

Might one to get him one of those fake fish bowls he can watch when you want to use “his” screen. Cute cat and looks lovable! Miss my kitty but not the litter box!
Lee says
He certainly is getting big! I like Bev’s idea of a fake fish bowl to see if that’ll distract him while you’re busy, but then, if he didn’t distract you, you wouldn’t have anything to blog about him about.

Do you have an old computer or laptop sitting around (I know Vince has a hard time parting with stuff) that you could turn on while you are working with one of those cat videos playing? It might keep him occupied while you got some stuff done.
Kate says
Have you shown him a tube kitten video? My kittens love to watch those!

They have their way, don’t they? Wait till he learns how to walk on your keyboard……
Kate says
Lol, meant to say u tube!

Some good ideas here of ways to keep Boots occupied when you need to use your OWN computer. (Since he seems to think that is his computer now.) He is very cute, though. You just need to find a way to put him to work….for real.

There must be something about black cats which makes them so sweet! My Mother was given a black cat recently and it is the sweetest thing! She’s so loving and even greets you at the door! My cat, on the other hand, (a dilute Tortie), is sometimes very aloof. However, because we were gone 3 days, she can’t stay out of my lap.
Joan says
Oh my, Boots is getting so big already, but he would be about 6 months old now. I’m sure glad he found a home with you. All ours are rescues too and all were wild to start with. Now one is laying on DH lap sound asleep, on on my sewing rocker and one curled up on a soft throw beside me. The 4th is in her house out on the design table. She prefers solitude. they all keep us hopping though

Shucks just get a bigger screen. Then you can still see it while he lays in front. You’ve just got to love cats now. They all seem to love TVs, computer are anything we like. They are people animals. So glad you have him sure makes good company looks like and sounds like. Never a dull day anymore you’ve always got company.
Heidi says
I just saw a little cat toy that sat on the floor with a laser light that moved all around. Maybe this would distract Boots so you could get something done in the sewing room without his assistance.
LaRae says
Judy, your blog just crack me up!! thanks for all the gjggles….. boots need his own computer and the long beach aquarium live cams … lol

CATS …. once you have them, you belong to them! One at a time, each of my cats jump onto the desk in front of the computer. The funny thing is, neither of them is aware of the screen or the movement on it. They just want to distract my attention from the screen and to them. CATS … you have to love them!
