Notes:
- Make sure your seam allowances are 1/4″. Check it before you begin if you aren’t sure.
- When pressing those long strips, make sure to keep them straight. It’s real easy to get a curve going.
- Unless pressing instructions are specified, it doesn’t matter how you press your seams.
- When the instructions say to make 1-1/2 strip sets, that’s one full strip set and one-half of another strip set, as shown below.
The strip set in the front is a full strip made from strips cut across the width of the fabric. The back strip set is made from strips that were cut across the width of the fabric and then cut in half. A full strip set should be about 40″ long and a half strip set should be about 20″ long.
Instructions:
Fabric 1 – Cut 3 – 2″ strips
Fabric 2 – Cut 2 – 2″ strips
Sew those together, with Fabric 1 strips on the outside and Fabric 2 in the middle, to make 1-1/2 strip sets. Cut those into 24 – 2″ wide segments.
