It was a good week of yarn arrivals! The yarn that arrived this week was:
- 5 skeins of Miss Babs Heartleand Worsted (color – Tulipa) for a test knit project . . a pullover that I’m pretty excited about.
- 3 skeins of Miss Babs Shiruku (color – Roasted Pumpkin) to make this: Hitofude Cardigan
- 1 skein of Miss Babs Yowza (color – Zombie Games) to make this: Brickless

Miss Babs Shiruku & Yowza
From swatching the Heartland, I’m telling you . . that is one amazing yarn. I love how it feels and how it knits up. I love that it’s solid-ish but there’s a bit of tone on tone in there.
I haven’t used the Shiruku or the Yowza so I can’t comment yet on those.
The yarn that was used this week:
- 1-1/2 skeins for my dad’s socks. I made the legs longer since I had extra yarn and ended up using at least 3/4 of both skeins. There’s still enough let on them for me to do the heels or toes of my own socks from that yarn.
- 1 skein for the Into the Whirled socks that I finished.
Used this Week: 2.5 skeins
Used since mid-August: 14.5 skeins
Added this week: 9 skeins
Added since mid-August: 142 skeins
Net Used since mid-August : 127.5 skeins (Red means I’m in the hole so instead of using this much yarn, I’ve added a net of this much yarn!)

There are cables in the test knit? What a pretty purple. I can’t wait to see the pullover. The cardigan will be cute in the roasted pumpkin colorway. I have some Yowza but haven’t used any yet.

Nothing in re yarn! Nothing out – yet! Am working on neckscarf – Age of Brass and Steam Kerchief. Will do a post a bit later with photos (so far – all 6+ rows of it! LOL)

The Ms Babs yarn you referred to sent me on an Internet search – it’s gorgeous. Only available at Ms. Babs on-line I take it. I could not understand why there were so many sold out yarns til I searched some more today. They must have dragged a lot of off the Internet for that yarn show in New England (name escapes me at the moment) over the weekend. Only to find out tonight that most is available again on the Internet. I thought you bought the last Zombie Games in the whole world and I love it. Turns out I am going to OKC next week where I can hit a real-life yarn shop so I think I may hold off ordering ZG till I get to see some other yarns in the flesh. Loving yarn is a lot like coveting fabric. Yikes.

Gorgeous yarns. Can’t wait to see them made up I really like the yarn report on Friday. I hope it continues next year. I didn’t try to figure out what came in this year or out. I will have a nice fresh start Jan 1

That purple is going to be gorgeous in a sweater. I forgot about her Yowza sized skeins – so great when you don’t have to worry about hand dyes using two smaller skeins not matching. Dang I may need some!

The Brickless with some yowza yarn is on my to do list, too. Only the shipping cost to Germany is almost as much as the yarn itself 🙁
