My sewing assistant and I spent some quality time in the sewing room last night.
Sewing is hard work for a kitty! There are scissors and seam rippers to knock off the table. There’s a pin cushion that keeps disappearing and showing up in a new spot as the seamstress tries to keep it away from me. There’s the needle in the machine going up and down that might be fun to catch. Then when the ironing is happening, there are so many warm places to stretch out.
And, for the seamstress, having a kitty in the room means about half as much gets accomplished in twice as much time . . trying to keep the kitty out of the moving sewing machine, out of the way of the rotary cutter and making sure he doesn’t get between the iron and the pieces being ironed. But, he’s always purring and he’s always happy to be held and snuggled, so that makes it all worth the extra time.
All 12 of the “A” blocks have been made. Today, if I can tear myself away from knitting, I’ll get started on the “B” blocks.

LOL – and this is the lady who once said she didn’t like cats? ROFLOL Boots is a great kitty and perfect for you and Vince!
JudyL says
Yes, I tell Boots every day how much I disliked cats . . before Boots came to our home. I love that cat so much! I told Vince I would be perfectly happy to sit and hold him all day every day and do nothing else.

Be careful that Boots doesn’t swallow a pin. My quilt friend had her cat swallow a hand quilting needle and had to have an $800 surgery.

You just had to find the right kitty for YOU. =) Love the colors in the Blame Game. That top picture? At first I thought it was upside down and he was leaping across something!
Janice S. says
He sure is a handsome cat!

Boots is so gorgeous,he is so shiny. What about the Tuxedo Cat,did you ever go back to see if he was still there? I’m sure you would have double trouble with two kitties. LOL

We have cooking assistants. And the kitten has decided that he would like to check out what’s on the STOVE! I found him in the sink a little bit ago and I shoo-ed him to the floor. Then he jumped up on the little island I have and was checking out the distance to the stove, where I had just taken a pan of fudge off the stove. I shoo-ed him off the island (cleaned it) and put a pan on the still warm burner. Grrrrrr…..
