It’s that time of year . . Fall is coming and I want to cook and eat Fall recipes! When you think of Fall recipes, what do you think of? I mostly think of pumpkin and then I think of butternut squash, acorn squash, sweet potatoes and things like that.
Pumpkin Gingerbread
Pumpkin Scones
Pumpkin Granola – Haven’t made this but it looks good.
Pumpkin Apple Harvest Rice – This will be made before the end of this weekend!
Pumpkin Dip – So good with gingersnaps!
Of course, there’s pumpkin pie and we all have our favorite recipes for that. There are so many great looking pumpkin recipes out there! What are your favorites?
Here are some of my favorite pumpkin recipes, as well as some pumpkin recipes I hope to try soon.

My fall favorites are pumpkin bread, pumpkin muffins, pumpkin dump cake, and pumpkin ice cream from Schwan’s and pumpkin spice liqueur that are only available for a short time in the fall. Other cool weather favorites like beef stew, chicken and dumplings are back on the menu when the weather starts to cool. And I love when it’s soup weather again. I love to make and eat soups, butternut squash soup, my grandma’s vegetable beef soup, split pea soup, and chicken noodle (for my husband).
Fall has always been my favorite season. I love the crisp cool days, the colors, the smells.

The Pumpkin Apple Harvest Rice recipe sounds really good. I’ll have to try it this weekend; the apples on my apple tree are just now getting ripe. Do you like pumpkin soup? My favorite way to fix it is to add some of the green Tobasco sauce.

My family loves your pumpkin gingerbread recipe. I make it several times during the fall and then a huge batch for neighbor gifts during the Christmas season.
I look forward to Fall so I can make a big pot of beef stew and a huge skillet of corn bread. I could make it any time of the year, but it always tastes best in the Fall after being outside in the cooler temps.

Pumpkin pie is my favorite, but pumpkin muffins, pumpkin ice cream, pumpkin pancakes, actually, anything pumpkin is great. And roasted butternut squash with apples and sweet potatoes is great. Sweet potato and apple fried pies taste wonderful. I love fall produce, probably because it just doesn’t last very long before it’s gone.

I look forward to homemade Goulash Soup, and making Apple Strudel, like my mother and both grandmothers made.

Pumpkin Crunch …. My 25 year old son Cody (my baby) always calls and ask, “Hey mom, what’s up?? Uh, have you baked any of that pumpkin crunch stuff that I love ?” My answer is, ” yes sweetie, I know and “yes” I will bake 2, one for all of us to enjoy, and one for you to hide under the seat of your truck, and you take home to eat all by yourself !!! Love the fall…

Muffins are what I am favoring just now. The real ones, not muffins that are more like cupcakes. And pumpkin everything. I have a recipe to try, if it’s good I’ll share. Ever make quick pumpkin bread but use butternut squash instead? It’s the best.

I love pumpkin. Yesterday on Facebook, a friend posted a recipe for Roasted Pumpkin and Apple soup. It has a chicken stock base and you add filberts to it. I have to admit I don’t like filberts, even though they grow everywhere here, so I’ll probably use walnuts. You can use butternut squash instead of the pumpkin too. I’m about to whip up a batch. It sounded so good to me.

I am reading this as my pumpkin soup with apple and spices cools. 🙂 http://www.browneyedbaker.com/2011/10/18/pumpkin-soup-recipe/ First time trying it, but savory spice is nice!
