This afternoon, the storm clouds were blowing in.
We’re getting rain but no storms. I decided to take a walk around and see if I could find anything worth sharing. Before the rain, it was so dry. We’ve had way more rain than we had last summer but it seems we get to the point where we are no longer watering effectively and we just need a good, soaking rain. We were so there and this rain is so appreciated. It makes me extremely sad to see the ground cracking like this.
The grasshoppers are alive and well . .
They’re still eating everything but there are fewer of them.
And they’re making sure we have a good crop of grasshoppers for next year!
The good news is . . while they’re “pre-occupied”, they’re easy to catch and smush!

Oh, Judy, what a hoot you are, you can find a positive in everything even a frisky grasshopper or two.

That’s how I roll . . can’t change it so it’s best just to find a way to laugh about it.
Linda says
Oh, I totally laughed out loud at that!!
Linda says
Can you imagine what the wire fence is doing to their teeth! 😉

Paul would have said, “What a way to go!”
Paula says
Maybe you will get some of the rain coming thru this weekend. My needles are on the way and I went with your 1st choice.

Well, it’s good to know that the – ahem – activity slows them down a bit. Plus, you can get them two at a time!
Rebecca in SoCal says
Well, that turns the tables on them! Rather than making MORE, there are two fewer. I laughed out loud, too.

What a way to go! ROFL!
