Yesterday, all day, all I wanted to do was knit rabbits. I even told myself that as soon as I finished one more feather on Dreambird, I was going to start a rabbit. I finished the feather. I got out the yarn, the needles, the pattern. I read. Then I said to myself . . NO! You are going to finish Dreambird! Oh . . have you ever seen such self-discipline? I shouldn’t be patting myself on the back til Dreambird is finished. It’s never too early or too late for me to mess up my plans!
But, as I think about making Little Cotton Rabbits’ bunny, I came up with a plan . .
. . if I make red and white striped stockings and red shoes, then that will go with a red and white Valentine dress, a red and white or red/white/green Christmas dress, a red/white/blue Independence Day dress. Lots of options so the first bunny I make will have red and white stockings and red shoes.
But . . the first rabbit I make will not be made until Dreambird is finished. Yep . . that’s what I said! 🙂

We’re going to hold you to that! And check with Vince to make sure there are no bunnies hatching at your house!!

I read the subject line, and all I could think was “They’re going to have rabbits? But they’ll eat the garden!”. I think I’m losing it 🙂 Can’t wait to see the little family of rabbits you create for Addie (’cause I’m sure we all know you aren’t making just one)

You can’t believe how many rabbits there are around here already . . the real, live ones that jump out in front of me just at daylight and scare me more than I scare them! We have chicken wire around the bottom of the garden fence and that keeps them out of there.

I thought the same thing as Krista when I read the title. Now tell us, what are you working on now.. Dreambird, or a bunny?
JudyL says
Dreambird . . except I really haven’t knitted at all today yet.

I see a few very late night trying to get dreambird done quickly. 😉 Can’t wait to see the bunnies and the red and white would be perfect!!!!
Hugs!!!!

That red and white bunny is going to be so cute. I would not be as strong as you. I make daily goals and after that – I get to choose which way to go. Works for me.
I dont usually knit during the day, but the America’s Cup final is being raced (USA and NZ) so I am watching TV in the mornings for a while. Only problem was today racing has been too tight to knit. I only got half a background done.

I’ve admired the little cotton rabbits for years! If anything could induce me to learn to knit, it would be little cotton rabbits, but I have a feeling that would not be a good project without several years experience. The red and white striped tights will be perfect for all those holidays.

Sounds like a really good plan to me. Can’t wait to see your finished Dreambird.

If Krista thinks her interpretation was bad, I probably shouldn’t confess that when I saw the subject in my feed, I read “PLANTing rabbits”!! I thought “what in the world is Judy up to now?”
That’s very brave of you, Judy, to go so public with your resolution. Dreambird is going to be so gorgeous, though! Definitely worth finishing.

Your 1st bunny sounds so cute. I know your granddaughter will love it. And just as real live bunnies multiply, I bet you won’t be able to stop at one:)

You get me in so much trouble….. Only our grand baby is going to be a boy– so a little bunny boy! But first I have to finish all the other baby things I am knitting. I just finished a red and white striped long christmas cap for a photo op after delivery eta 10-20.
The cap is called Wee Willie Winnie or pixie hat by debbie bliss and of course, in my haste I just used nice merino I had but it was too big. So had to order the debbie bliss cashmerino and do it all over. Both times I kept saying to myself, Judy uses DPNs for socks—. You should be able to do it with larger needles and yarn. So Judy, you kept me going and I did two caps like that! ( of course the one wrong one and one right). I would never have preservered without you!
JudyL says
Hey . . don’t blame me. Congrats on the new grandbaby!

The knitted bunnies will be cute. My first thought on seeing the heading was that your newest venture would be raising rabbits for food!
