Today is the last of the Road to Brenham instructions.
For borders, the measurements are cutting measurements and are for attaching the side piece of each border, then the top and bottom piece, then moving on to the next border. This is a square quilt so it really isn’t going to matter which is the side and which is the top and bottom but be consistent in having the long strips on the same ends (top and bottom).

Done! Your top should be complete and should measure 94-1/2″ x 94-1/2″. And it should look like this:
I hope you’ve enjoyed the Quilt Along and I hope you love your quilt!
Cathy says
Hi Judy, for the top and bottom of border one, are we really cutting them 1 1/5 or is that a typo?
Vivian Oaks says
Cathy, she mentioned earlier that it wouldn’t matter which was the top or the side, because they were identical. That means that the 1-1/5 is a typo. It should read 1-1/2.
Cathy von Jess says
Thanks Judy! It’s a great design!
Susan says
Another successful finish! And everyone’s question will soon be, “What’s next?” I’ve talked to absolute strangers (to me) who are following along and making your quilts!
