With the much needed rain falling off and on most of the day, there is quite a bit of mud in the garden so I figured today was a great day to stay in the sewing room.
This top is now finished!
Nothing in the pile was big enough for a backing without having to add other fabrics. I found a navy in the stash and even though it had been washed, I’m running it through the washer again . . just because it’s so dark and there’s a lot of white in this top.
The backing is pieced for the aqua/brown chevron top I finished a while back. I’m going to try to get it loaded on the longarm before dinner.
Monday isn’t even over and my stash numbers for this week are amazing! 🙂

Beautiful! One of my favorites!

The block, as such, did not excite me; but, with the pieced border, it is gorgeous!
The quilt came to life with the border. The way you pieced the nine patch border is inspiring. Guess I’ll have to try it one of these days.
Thank you!

Did you ever try COLOR GRABBER made by Shout. I use it faithfully whenever I bring a new piece of clothing home and also when I wash a quilt when I am finished. You’d be surprised the colors the sheet turns when removing from the washer.

Judy,
This is stunning. Your quilts always are, but this one really speaks to me. I’m nearly finished piecing seven different fabrics of various sizes for a back on a 120″ x 120″ quilt. I’m making four that size, so I’m really busting stash! Thanks for all of your encouragement…

I have loved this one from the beginning. I hope the backing doesn’t run, because even after a couple of washes it would be terrible if any of it got on the white. Love those colors. Definitely going to make this one.
So glad you are getting the rain instead of us. It’s starting to look like a marsh around here right now. Arthritis city!

Are you going to put the pattern for this one in the section of free patterns? It is absolutely stunning!!

Wow! Judy – this is just gorgeous! Wouldn’t mind a bit sewing this one up!

Yeah Judy! It looks great. I actually loaded and quilted one of my own last night. I got the binding on while it was still on the long arm, but now I have to turn it and stitch it down.
