Dear Blog Readers:
I have the sweetest son on earth but still, he isn’t THAT sweet. He did NOT bring 30 pounds of shrimp for ME. He brought 30 pounds of shrimp for HIM. I helped him head them, I froze them . . and he will pack them in his cooler and take them all back to Missouri with him. He did offer to give me as many as I wanted but I know how much he loves them.
We did freeze the heads and he will take them back too. He uses them for some recipe for bait.
Some day Vince and I will take a trip down to the coast and get our own fresh shrimp and bring them back.

Don’t you still have a lot of the crawfish you got huge bags of not so very long ago?!! HA I know, they’re not the same.
JudyL says
Nope, just two bags left . . which means enough for two dinners.

You’re such a good momma.

Chad thanked me over and over again and he said “I didn’t know you were so good at doing this”. I told him I’ve headed thousands of pounds of shrimp in my day.

Bummer. If one of my sons did that he would have been heading them himself if it took all night. You really are a good mom. At least keep enough for one meal for yourselves.
JudyL says
I never mind helping. Chad would have helped me do anything I need help with.
Barbara says
Good for you! I can’t imagine not helping him.

I would have thought y’all were going to have a huge shrimp dinner together! I was looking forward to reading about that dinner and the recipes to follow. I’m disappointed. Chad!! He should’ve brought mama some for herself too!

LOL! I’d have to charge a percentage! I’d be sure to come away with at least a quart bag of frozen shrimp!
