We don’t have many lazy days around here but today has definitely been a lazy day. It probably started with staying up way too late gawking at the gorgeous “Super Moon”. Even after I went to bed, I left all the blinds open (we never close any blinds around here) and I kept laying there wide awake thinking about the moon . . thinking how many people, near and far, were looking at that same moon. Then I wondered all kinds of things about those people . . were they happy, were they content with their life, how many were so busy trying to get ahead with what they thought was important . . how many of them years down the road would look back and be happy with the things they think are important today.
How on earth did the moon lead to those thoughts?
Anyway . . I woke up this morning kinda sluggish. I knew we were out of bread so I made biscuits for breakfast, stirred up a batch of bread dough and planned to make a pie which hasn’t happened yet . . may or may not happened.
Went out and tied up some tomatoes that needed to be “manicured”. I’m allergic to the tomato vines so I came in and took a benadryl and you know what happened next . . naptime! I slept for almost three hours. Then itching is gone . . and so is most of my afternoon!

And did you think is that crazy Denise out looking at the moon? I was – wasn’t it amazing. I thought I was going to miss it since it was so stormy here but there was a break between fronts moving through so I was able to see it for a short time.

I had a lazy day too, but a rainy one. And according to the calendar it’s going to rain and/or storm all week. Just when I’m considering planting a container of potatoes that have started rooting in my potato bin. A western exposure and no sunshine to expose them to except clouds. Nothing ventured, nothing gained. So I’ll venture anyway, instead of adding to the garbage.
