The pieced borders are all made and one is attached!
I’m loving the shadowy look of the black in the pieced border. I’m hoping by the end of the day to get the other three pieced borders on, as well as the outer purple border. I never seem to get as much done as I think I will get done. Does that happen to you too? I guess it’s better to plan on doing more than I can get done . . kinda keeps me moving at a faster pace.

Your borders are great, amazing! I’m usually too tired of the quilt by border time

I love the borders. The whole quilt changes when you add this pieced border. I too often want it finished and just slap on plain borders. You make me want to do something different.

Ugh! I see a Road to Llano in my future! So pretty. I’ve been trying to resist to keep progress going on my great sewing room sort and work on WIPs. Keep up with those lovely designs!

ditto to all 4 comments! i am still a pinch behind, but not too far. i am really excited to see mine come together as i went outside the box in my color choices. and worked from a mary englebreit print in pulling my colors and not from a color family…..not sure if i am gonna like how i ended up using it for the light background as it blends too much with the black that i used for color 4. i am thinking that when i get to add more of the red (your black, #5) then it is going to either work or it is gonna make the #4 totally fade into the sunset…..i originally was going to combine the print (for the final border) and the black with cherries for color #4 and use white for the background, but decided for some reason to use the print for the background. instead. i think i am going to regret that decision. i have not been happy with my choices lately. there is not enough contrast. i wonder what happened to my used to be good at picking colors ability…..

I’m just wondering how you come up with so many new designs. I have absolutly no talen at all in designing a quilt, just have to follow instructions, and it takes me more time to choose colors than it takes you to make the entire quilt. I can make a gift card, but design a quilt? My brain freezes and then just shuts down. Yours are all beautiful and the colors all work together so well. Makes me really feel–well, stupid.

Wow! That is an amazing quilt! It just might be the nicest one, but I wouldn’t say, since there are SO MANY of yours I love! I do love the colors, and it too will go on my “list” also…
