  1. Your newly painted guest room looks lovely. When I retired almost 4 years ago I planned on painting the rooms in my house. Well….so far I’ve only worked on UFOs in my quilting room or out of my knitting basket. Guess I’d better get that paint brush out and keep my promise to myself.

  16. My sister and I are cleaning, stripping wallpaper in our mother’s home. We started with another brand of paint with a primer. When it went on the wall it looked like there was grease or something on the wall. My sister painted that room 4 times to get it to cover. We got our money back from that company and went to Sherman Williams. They had a 30% sale going on. We used their top of the line with a primer. A few places we did have the same problem. Decided that it was the paint that Mother used. I will never use any other paint than Sherman Williams after this experience.

  19. I love your room! I have a sewing room that wad my youngest son’s room that he painted a kelly green. So dark but would love to repaint in a lighter color….just haven’t had the extra dollars to do so. You are so blessed.

  26. We’ve always used Sherwin Williams paints where ever we have lived. It’s time to paint the inside of this house again and that soft beige color in your guest room is a consideratioin. What is the exact name of the color, please?

    I’m having issues viewing your blog. I access through yahoo. I can go directly to a link for each subject but when I try to go to the next post I get a security block that won’t show your entry. Also, when I click on ‘contact’ on your blog I get the same response. I end up going back to my homepage on yahoo and then clicking on each individual entry which is ok but not convenient. Didn’t know if anyone else was experiencing problems or if it was just me??

  30. Don’t you just love those afternoon naps, especially in such a peaceful room.The color you chose is very nice. I have always liked using Sherwin Williams paint. One coat is almost always enough to do the jib.

  36. My bedroom needs painting, but worse, the closet is really, really bad. Why do I forget to paint the closet? Out of sight, out of mind, maybe?
