For today’s instructions:
1. Sew the blocks together to make 4 rows like this:
2. Sew the blocks together to make 3 rows like this:
3. Sew the rows together to create the center of the top.
The top should now measure 45-1/2″ x 63-1/2″, including seam allowances. All border measurements will be given based on this measurement. If your top doesn’t measure these amounts, please see if you can figure out why. If you need to talk to me about it, please send me an email.

i am up to speed on the one i am making with yardage. was telling myself that i would just START to put the blocks together and before i knew it i had all of this step done. i am procrastinating BIGTIME on a very unpleasant task, so working away on this was BLISS!
my scrappy one is way back in the stages of the light/dark 4 patches…..i have to go scrounge around for LOTS more background fabrics and that is definitely a stall for me. i love how this pattern goes together though, so i am really wanting to get moving on it again. probably will after i get my VERY distasteful task done—gonna hold it out as a carrot maybe….however, scrounging for the fabrics is distasteful too….gonna need a bigger carrot i think.

I’m actually doing this Judy! It really helped that I went on retreat last week, so this was my main project.
