Last night I was thinking . . really, I’m always thinking . . just ask Vince . . but last night I was thinking about my UFOs and I realized that having UFOs is not really a bad thing. There are several that need quilting and several that need binding and I can get those finished quickly and add to the “Quilts for West” stack. If I had no quilts started, I would be doing good to get one done but I’m betting I can get four or five done, simply because of all the UFOs around here. See . . having UFOs is a good thing! 🙂
If I never finished anything and only started projects, that would not be a good thing but I’m feeling better about the UFOs today.
It seemed like it had been days since I had been in the sewing room. Thursday and Friday we were out of town, Saturday we worked in the yard all day, Sunday I slept all day (I think I was not feeling so well), Monday I was in the garden most of the day so yesterday, I said to myself . . I am going to get something done in the sewing room today!
I did! I had already loaded this quilt but had not started quilting it. Not only did I start quilting it but I finished quilting it.
Today I hope to get the binding done and I will add it to the stack going to West, Texas.

I found a little UFO yesterday from back in the days when I had no idea what I was doing (do I know what I’m doing now? – no!), and after I get this custom quilt off the machine, I’ll try and get it popped on, quilted, and off to you.

That’s funny. I got on a re-organizing kick yesterday and thought to myself that if I cleared out some of my UFO projects, I’d have a lot more storage space for new fabric! LOL! 🙂

love your little pink and brown quilt, and will look forward to the tutorial when you get time to do it.
i pulled out an old project this week; some triangles that i had saved from another quilt project (long since done) to make somethng out of. Decided that a simple quilt of HST’S was in order, so i’m busily sewing pre-cut triangles into blocks, and then into rows. I’ve gotten 7 rows made so far this morning, and will continue on sewing this afternoon. only 9 more rows to make and then i can start sewing them all together into a top.

ps. silly me! i didn’t realize until i checked out your UFO link that i already have the pattern in the book floating arround the apartment somewhere.
must re-charge batteries and get some lunch inside me, or who knows what else i’ll forget this afternoon, LOL

That is so pretty. I also like to have various things partially done several time I needed something quick. Like Christmas before last when DH said I want to give all my kids and grandkids quilts this year. Well ok but we only have a little over a week to do it. So he learned how to load a quilt and did while I was binding one. We got it done.
I entered the quilt I sent you a picture, your pattern, in the quilt show. I did not win a ribbon but she commented on the pattern being so nice and balanced.

I really like that pink and brown quilt. Somebody is going to be very comforted beneath it.

That is a beautiful quilt. I agree about UFO’s – all of a sudden you get several things done at once. It’s a good thing!

I’m not linking, but I’ll share that I did finish a BOM block for which others have already finished the quilt! So in a way it was a UFO. Now have only 7 blocks to go. Thanks for the inspiration, Judy. Really like that pink and brown quilt.

Love that pink and brown. I’m mailing tomorrow. I don’t even worry any more about whether I finish or not. The fun is in the stitching, and if I finish, great, and if I don’t, my younger friends can split all the UFOs among them when I go.
