This is the final set of instructions. Wasn’t this much easier than you thought it would be when you first saw the drawing of the top?
Below are the border measurements. For each round of borders, the sides should be added first, then the top and bottom. Add the left and right sides for Border #1, then the top and bottom borders. Add the left and right side borders for Border #2, then the top and bottom borders, and so on.
The numbers in parenthesis are the center measurements for each border strip.
Note that for Border #3, the side borders are cut 2.5″ and the top and bottom borders are cut 2″. That is correct. Sometimes this has to happen in order for a pieced border to fit.
I hope you’ve enjoyed this Quilt Along. I hope you’ve stayed caught up and I hope that you love your new top.
On Saturday there will be a link box where you can show your progress . . even if all you have to show is the fabric you picked out.
Thanks to all who trusted my instructions enough to participate!

It was a lot easier than it looked! I’ve come to expect that from you. I woke up with a quilt in my head, even the name of it yesterday, and sketched it out before I could forget, but I really was wishing I had you to put it into a visual. LOL I sewed rows together one way this morning. I’ll make the triangles next, add them to the rows, and then put those together. Then I’ll decide how much border to do. I really like your pieced one, and it’s not tricky, either.

I fell behind thanks to two weeks of back pain, but am going to work on it this weekend. Thanks again for hosting this QAL.

I am almost at the pieced border and I am staring to wonder-how can 19 blocks make a left and a right side border ? Does one side have more blocks than the other ?

Judy,
What a wonderful quilt this has been. I am at the pieced border and I did not find a diagram for piecing the border. Do I just need to look at the picture or did I miss the directions.
I love your work!
