Sometimes when I make a quilt and am not interested in writing and testing a pattern for it, I can share the Electric Quilt file.
When I made Nicole’s New Beginnings Quilt, I had originally planned to offer it as a pattern but it ended up with some weird sizes and a lot of graphics that I just don’t have time to edit right now so I’m offering that as an EQ file. If you use EQ7, you can download the file.
From time to time, I will add more files and will always post a note here when I’ve added a new one.
I’m not sure if it’s a setting on my Firefox or what, but I can only download the files if I try it using Internet Explorer. If anyone has any ideas about why this is happening, please let me know. Otherwise, you’ll have to use IE to download the files.
I’ve added a link to the EQ Files in the top menu bar so it will be easy for you to find. Here’s the link to the page.

Thanks so much for sharing your EQ file. I love the quilt. I have so many UFO’s I don;t know if or when I will get it made but I saved it in the projecct folder. I love all the quilts you design. They look like they are difficult, but when broken down are not that difficult to make. Thanks again.

Thank you, Judy! It’s a beautiful quilt. I had no trouble downloading it via Chrome. I right clicked and saved it and it opens fine for me.

Thank you Judy! I love your quilts. I also was able to open and download it using Chrome.

My thanks, too. I love playing in EQ and this will give me a head start with something new.

Thank you, Judy, for your generosity in sharing your designs with us. They are always terrific! As Debbie M and Kathryn said, Google Chrome worked just fine.

WOW Judy – thank you SO MUCH. You are beyond generous. I love this quilt and when I figure out how to find/open/use IE I’m gonna download it. (I’m a Firefox user like you.) You da bestest!

My experience has been that I cannot open EQ files. I have to “save as,” and then put them into my EQ projects. I did that and was able to open it, once I remembered the file name.

I had no trouble downloading the file with Google Chrome on my Mac. I am guessing it is a setting in Firefox. I found an article here that may be helpful.

I was able to download with Chrome as well. Thank you so much for your generosity!
Just a note on Firefox though. The updates started making it “weird” a couple of years ago. A lot of features stopped working for me so I moved to Chrome. Both my husband and myself are very computer literate (geeks!), and neither of us can figure out what’s going on with Firefox. It’s a shame as it used to be such a solid browser. I’m very happy with Chrome now. It’s on my phone as well.
