This is the first time I’ve grown carrots so I’m not sure if this is unusual behavior or not but does this carrot kinda remind you of a headless . . carrot?
I don’t know . . I’m thinking this carrot might have been one to send in to somewhere. Maybe the soup pot wasn’t where the life of this carrot should have ended. Surely someone documents weirdly shaped veggies. It kinda has knees and thighs and ankles . . just no head.
Maybe I’ve worked in the sun too much today but I crack up every time I look at this carrot.

ROFLOL — that is too funny but yes – not unusual to get some mutant ones. I believe that is Mr. Potatohead’s girlfriend – Ms. Carrottop. She needs a little floppy sun hat.

Looks like a dance hall girl with out a head…LOL Maybe I have been watching to many westerns lately…
Linda enneking says
It is not unusual for carrots to do this, especially if there is a lot of nitrogen in the soil.
Helen says
LOL…reminds me of a naked butt!! I know, I’ve got a perverted mind, but it just does!!! OMG, I am so embarrassed that I wrote this!!! LOL!

I feel like I should whistle…nice legs. Just what kind of vegetable garden are you growing out there? 🙂
Gwen says
I giggle just thinking of it!
Dora, the quilter says
Looks like it could star on Veggie Tales!
I wonder if it hit a pebble as it was growing and just decided to grow around it.
I’d have given it a name; however, I probably would still have eaten it!
Terri says
maybe i am just tired. . .but this seems like such a silly thing to me. . .neede the jiggly giggly

Looks like 2 legs and a torso to me. So funny! If you take photos of every carrot, you could make a little iPhoto (or Snapfish, or whatever) Funky Carrot book after a year or so.
🙂

Looking about like the skinny skinny ‘jeans’ advertised by American Eagle Outfitters – only in orange.
Quilter Bea says
This is really telling my age but your carrot reminds me of the dancing cigarette boxes that were a staple in the advertising world on many variety shows that we were allowed to watch as kids. Wow, that is a blast from the past but good memories watching Ed Sullivan and Carol Burnett with the family.
Barbara says
Not unusual at all…years ago when we had a garden part of the fun when we dug carrots was finding the ‘odd’ ones!

Julie says
lol! reminds me of a vintage embroidery pattern – all it needs is 2 eyes and a smile! Voila, dancing carrot.
WiAmy says
I have seen lots similar to this. It could be a tooth with twisted roots too, but I think your headless body description is better. I can just picture this carrot dancing.
Carolyn says
I think it lost it’s radish head! LOL
kimpaventy says
Sometimes they grow like that when you have some rocks or clay in your garden. I get lots of funny carrots,I was thinking about adding some sand to my garden just to help with my carrots.
Erin says
Haha love that carrot! Looks like it’s dancing!
