Aunt Margaret is really not my aunt but I’ve adopted her and I love her! Last week before I left for Missouri, Aunt Margaret sent me the cutest little hand quilted wall hanging:
She insisted that I hang it in the chicken coop and I insisted that I hang it in my sewing room and that’s exactly where it’s going . . in my sewing room.
As I was looking at the wall hanging, I remembered taking a picture of Miss Hattie a couple of weeks ago.
I was on the front porch and she was running to see me. She kinda resembles the chicken in the wall hanging, don’t you think?
Miss Hattie is still the funniest chicken. She still gets loose every single day and no other chickens ever get loose. She follows us around like a puppy. When we’re in the house and then come out . . she listens for the door and she comes running or flying when she sees us.
It’s so funny to watch a chicken run . . they always look like they’re going to topple over on their face but they never do . . or at least I’ve never seen one fall.

It DOES look like Miss Hattie! I dont’ think I’ve ever known anyone who was loved by a chicken before – you are clearly very special.

Maybe you could take a picture of the wall hanging and put that in the coop. I doubt the chickens would care, but…

Aww, that’s great! What a nice thing for Aunt Margaret to do for you.

Hey, she really is my Aunt Margaret and I need a wall hanging. Seriously, she did make me a little schnauzer wall hanging which looks just like our schnauzer, Emmi.

bring joy for a long time! And, I really like the wall hanging..
