I’m going to change things up a bit because I’ve hard from some of you who don’t go to the grocery store every week. I’m going to post the ingredient for this week, as well as the ingredient for next week. This way, you’ll have a little more lead time.
Week 7 (This Week) – Berries – Strawberries or Raspberries or Blackberries or Blueberries – whatever you want to use — fresh or frozen.
Week 8 (Next Week) – Cinnamon
Please search out a recipe you’ve never tried before that looks good, or share an old favorite!

Good idea. I was busy during peanut butter week and had it on hand and a recipe picked. Twice I didn’t have the ingredient and did not go shopping. I have the ingredients for the next two weeks now just to find the time to make something and remember to take pictures.

Nothing to report this week – with everything going on here with the girls I haven’t felt much like cooking-it’s been quick and easy all week! Waiting to hear back about
Tiki’s bloodwork this morning. Tilly’s ultrasound tomorrow afternoon. We’re having our birthday/Valentine dinner this evening. Will enjoy seeing what everyone else cooked this past week though. Howver I will have some sewing to report later on however!

I don’t have a recipe to share but have a funny story about sweetened condensed milk. As a new bride I wanted to make a tuna casserole for dinner one night. I looked in some old cookbooks and the recipe called for ‘condensed milk’. You guessed it, I used sweetened condensed milk, not realizing that in the old recipes evaporated milk was called ‘condensed milk’. It was the worst tuna casserole ever! After two bites it went into the trash and we went out for dinner.
