This morning I went out to get some pictures of the bantam chicks, but they went back in the coop when they saw me coming. We really haven’t spent much time with them and the mom and dad are so protective. Miss Hattie was following me around. No one has told her that she’s a chicken and not a pet. She even follows Speck around when we’re outside. He pays no attention to her. Thank goodness there are no dogs running around out here because she has absolutely no fear. She hangs out with the cows when they’re here.
The wind was blowing . . I didn’t fix my hair all combed over like that. Even Miss Hattie’s “hair” is blowing in the wind. I might have put on makeup had I known my picture was going to get taken and shared. But, maybe not!
She is such a funny chicken. We really have fun with her. Yes, we don’t get much excitement around here but that’s just how we like it.

I love the picture. And you don’t even need makeup to look good! If Vince doesn’t mind no makeup I am sure that Miss Hattie doesn’t! And we sure don’t, as long as you keep writing your blog. You make me laugh almost everyday!

If I had beautiful skin like yours, I wouldn’t wear make-up every day either. Great picture of you and Miss Hattie!

You don’t need make-up; you are glowing with good health! And you are so fortunate to be able to carry your pet around.

My crazy banty rooster silkie is the only one that comes up and wants me to pick him up. We all him LuLu because he’s wacko. He dances in circles around the hens. He thinks he’s doing his job. Lol. I have 7 female sand they do not lay eggs. All they do is “SIT”. It’s a good thing they are cute or they’d be out of here.
